Thursday, 26 February 2015

Tata Motors has entered an exciting new partnership with Australia’s leading motorcycle stunt team, Showtime FMX.

Tata Motors have become the ‘Official Vehicle” of the crowd-pleasing stunt team that has enthralled crowds at V8 Supercars meetings, Sydney’s Royal Eater Show, Royal Melbourne Show, Royal Adelaide Show, Top Gear Live, Moto Expos and many Agricultural shows and field days throughout Australia for over 15 years.

The Tata Xenon utes will be an integral part of the live-action, towing the launch ramps up to 25 metres apart, as the riders fling their machines up to 14 metres into the air at speeds approaching 50km/h.

Stars of troupe include Kain Saul who is one of Australia’s most experienced FMX performers and a former Australian Freestyle Moto X champion.

Kain is the first rider in the world to back flip a Harley Davidson and the fifth to backflip a dirt bike.

Steve Mini has been with ShowTime FMX for 11 years and has performed all over the world as a member of the famous Nitro Circus Tour.

Aboard their Honda CRF450’s Kain, Steve and four other riders will perform a series of tricks such as the Kiss of death, Ruler Flips, Holy Grabs, Rock Solids and Turn Downs, that have to be seen to be believed.

The Tata Motors backed ShowTime FMX riders will perform several times a day at the opening V8 Supercars race, the Clipsal 500 in the Adelaide Parklands from Thursday February 26th to Sunday March 1st 2015.

Established in 1945, Tata Motors is part of the larger US $100 Billion Tata group and is India’s largest automobile company.

In Australia Tata Motors products are distributed by Fusion Automotive as part of the Walkinshaw group.

Announcing the partnership Fusion Automotive’s Chief Operations Officer – Oliver Lukeis, said: “We are excited to be partnering with the Showtime FMX team as they kick off their 2015 events calendar. The team’s reputation for innovation and toughness aligns perfectly with our range of Xenon utes.”

“This partnership gives us the opportunity to show the Xenon’s style, versatility and toughness to people across Australia, in a spectacular and memorable way”.

ShowTime FMX CEO Gary Reid added: “We’re thrilled to have Tata Motors join us. The Xenon’s payload allows us to easily cart the bikes around and the ramps are effortlessly towed into place for each show. We couldn’t ask for a better vehicle”.
